This process if for wholly or partially covering a structure in hangar or tunnel or other long arched shape, esp. with transparent plastic foil roofing material. The bases of inverted-U tubular components are fixed to two parallel ground frame components, and straight tubes run across them lengthways at right angles, with nodal points secured at intersections. One end part of the rolled roofing material is fixed to one frame component parallel to the straight tubes, and it is then unrolled across to a second frame component parallel to the first, on the other side, wehre the end is secured in a clamping device which can be moved along below the second component, the clamping device then being pulled downwards, and the stretched material fixed to the second component. Durable roofing for weather protection is simply effected, and easily repaired or extended.
