The control circuit using saturable reactors for maintaining a constant output current has two throttling chokes with the control windings connected in series. The entire current flowing through the control windings of the saturable react or throttling chokes is derived from the rectified constant output current. The ratio of the number of ampere turns of the control windings of the throttling chokes of the saturable reactors and the operating windings is greater than unity. The deviations of the output current are measured as a voltsge across a resistance and fed back to the control windings.
