Fitting component clamp for window or door frame - has reentrant rib engaging with frame profile and clamping screw

The clamp component (1) has a projecting rib (3) formed by a groove. This projecting rib engages with a re-entrant rib of a frame profile (10). The clamp component has also a projecting edge rib which accommodates at least one screw (5). After the clamping component has engaged with the ribs on the frame this screw is rotated and the reaction force ensures firm clamping of the fitting element body. The clamping component is firmly pressed at its other edge against a projecting rib of the frame profile. The body itself has a slightly concave edge to ensure good point contacts at the edge opposite the screw. The fitting is locked by tightening the screw and released by loosening the screw.
