System for production of compressed articles - uses adhesive coated, clean dry metallic waste and hot pressing techniques

A system for the production of compressed articles uses metal swarf, powder or similar metallic waste material which is completely coated on all sides by an adhesive, dried and then simultaneously pressed and heated in a die. Before coating with adhesive the metallic waste material is cleaned and dried. A two component synthetic resin adhesive is mud. Preheated die sections are used with initial temperatures of 160-225 deg.C and press pressures are exerted for some 3-5 minutes. Pressures of 80-300 kp/Cm2 are used dependent on nature, size and density of starting material.
