Direction of vision and field of vision meter - uses infra red light source with automatic measurement

A beam of rays (1, 2, 3) from the revolving and/or sliding infra red light source (10) is directed onto the pupil or the iris zone (51) of the eye (50) and the individually reflected intensities measured by light sensitive sensors (20, 21, 22) thus producing a measure of the angle of deflection between the direction of vision and the light source. Pref. the light source (10) has three or more partially transmissive beam splitting mirros (11, 12, 13 and 14, 15, 16). The latter set (14, 15, 16) are each arranged between a cylinder optic (17, 18, 19) and a sensor (20, 21, 22) with the signals from them fed to a recording and evaluating machine. The system does not require the presence of a doctor when used.
