A lamella or blade for a cell type compressor, in partic. a lamella or blade manufactured from a plastic material is constructed such that sections (5) of the blade which is nearest the wall (1) of the compressor housing is manufactured from a material having high wear resistance. The section (4) of the blade which is nearest the rotor (2) is constructed from a material e.g. plastic of inferior quality to the high wear resistant material. The blade is constructed such that the lamella sections (4, 5) are glued or attached to one another by other means.
