Valve with leakage indicator, esp. for the food and/or drink industry, arranged in a pipe system e.g. for separating a prod. liquid from a purifying soln. has a corner valve housing contg. a single valve spindle, and a valve plate seal with two sealing faces supported on a plate of this spindle. The seal has an annular space bordered by one of the parts of the seal, and the valve seating, and connected to the leakage outflow. Low constricutional costs. Very reliable in operation. Very easily operated. Very resistant to wear during operation.
