Support prosthesis to permit invalids walking - has body shell fitting round invalid's pelvis and two leg prostheses

The support prosthesis is intended for invalids with full use of arms and is used in conjunction with a walking stick. It comprises a body shell fitted around the invalid's pelvis with two leg prostheses detachably hinged to it, whose weight is equalized to approximately 4/5 of the leg weight by a rubber strap affixed to the body shell. A hand grip slides into the thick section of one leg prosthesis and is coupled to the other leg prosthesis by a cable line passed over the body shell. Preferably the leg prostheses are fitted to the body shell by round discs with snap-action locks. Rubber straps extend through the knee joints of the leg prostheses, and friction discs are fitted to the foot joints of the leg prostheses.
