The strap is a flexible metal arc with a ball at one end of an eye at the other. It fits round the waist of the rider, one end attaching to his clothing and the other to the machine, thus holding the apron in position to the rider. When the bicyclein parked the strap can pass round the apron and keep it in place to cover the bicycle. The strap can be hollow with a wire passing through it, the ends of the wire being lockable together to prevent theft.
