1533182 Door closers G SIEG 9 Nov 1976 [23 April 1976] 46612/76 Heading E2M In a door closer mechanism a closer housing 2 includes a closer spring (not shown), a rack piston 3 and a closer axle 4, the axle 4 being a solid member having a centre portion provided as a pinion 4' engaging the rack piston 3 and provided on both sides of the portion with reduced diameter journal pins 4" for connection with a closer arm 6. Journal boxes 7 rest in a non-rotatable manner on the journal pins 4" and a polygonal-shaped insertion hole 7' accommodates a correspondingly polygonal-shaped insertion pin 6' of the closer arm 6. The closer housing 2 is provided with a full length plain cylindrical bearing bore 2', with sealing rings 9 and needle bearings 8 arranged at both ends of the bore on a level with closer axle journal boxes.
