The storage device, for a number of magnetic tape cassettes, has a planar base provided with a line of spacing ridges running parallel to one side of the storage device and an equal number of hooks, running parallel to the opposite side of the device. The ridges and hooks are aligned with one another and spaced so that each cassette is held by two hooks at one end and lies between two adjacent spacing ridges at the other side. Each hook as a slot in which a projection of the cassette locates, to hold cassette band in place.
