Clamping device for loosely connecting an electrical lead to a busbar. The body of the clamp which is used for bracing the cable and the busbar via a pressure bracket has a U-shape with a bolt spanning the two arms. One of the arms (4) has a male thread cut into an extension piece (10) which engages in a hole (12) of the pressure bracket (11). The ends of the two limbs (3, 4) of the U-shaped bracket are held in position by a flat rectangular bracket (5) which fits around the free ends of the U-bracket. It held in position by a cutout (6) near the end of one of the limbs of the U-bracket.
