The arrangement for dispensing fluid is used for metering additive into a flushing water supply. The additive is held in a container connected by a valve to the metering chamber. The additive can be metered and added also directly during the flushing period. The metering chamber has a moving ball valve. This ball cuts off the connections with the flushing water system. It also closes the connection between the metering chamber and the storage container during the flushing process. A pivoted lever is arranged outside the metering chamber. One lever arm is inclined relative to the flow direction of the flushing water. The other lever arm is arranged in the movement path of the ball.
