Brick aesthetic ceramic building product - double layered with external active layer bonded to load bearing layer

Bricks, clinker blocks, wall or floor slabs of ceramic materials for building purposes are produced at low cost to meet high quality demands and a wide variety of aesthetic requirements. This involves a double-layered construction, comprising a load bearing layer and an extrenal active layer firmly connected to this. The active layer is pref. at least 2mm thick. The surface of the load bearing layers may have depressions, into which the active layer can be pasted, and these may be in the form of grooves with undercut edges. The active layer may be produced by mixing the load bearings mat layer material with an improving material.
