A sieve centrifuge whose rotor is in the form of a conical carrier with a conical sieve plate which rotate together. The sepd. solids are discharged from the space between the carrier and rotor through an outlet into a collection chamber below the rotor. Deceleration segments are located in the collection chamber at different levels. Rotating scraper-blades are provided whose outer edges pass over the outer wall of the collection chamber and over the deceleration segments. The scrapers are located at different levels and displaced circumferentially w.r.t. one another. The solid material is removed from the housing without turbulence, and cohesive deposits are prevented from building up on the walls of the collection chamber.
