The sprung seat is particularly designed to improve the comfort of tractor drivers and has a seat carrier (33) supported on an inclined, internally sprung telescopic cylinder (42) which is linked at its lower end (44) to the bottom section (17) of the seat frame (15). The seat frame is swivable about an axle (11) which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and is coupled to a weighted lever (12,13) positioned in a chamber formed by the rear wall (35) of the seat carrier (33) and the rear wall (21) of the seat frame (15). The upper end of the carrier (33) is linked to a short beam (37) whose other end is attached to side plates (22) of the seat frame.
