Application of sealing material both to the bottom of a waterway and to its banks which are above the normal water level. Where such an applicator consists of a float unit which is supported on the bottom of the waterway and with which a height-adjustable boom is connected. The equipment for layering the bottom and the banks can be moved on the float unit and on the boom in its longitudinal-and transverse direction. The support beams (2) which form the boom are connected with the float unit so that they can be swivelled or changed over in the horizontal. The inclined guide rails (4) on the booms, are supported so that they can be adjusted in inclination, according to the bank slope. The device for layering the banks and bottom consists of a height-adjustable pouring tube (7) which is connected via a flexible feed line (8) with a feed pump (9) arranged on the float unit (1).
