The calendar clock is intended for use in public buildings, offices, or schools and has an additional display (2) for indicating the number of the respective week, in relation to the 52 weeks in the year. The week number display (2) complies with given standard requirements and is automatically operated, so as to display the correct week number. The week number display may use a rotatable ring, two adjacent rotating discs, or an endless web, each of which is mechanically driven. Alternatively the week number display may be part of an electro-optical display unit using light-emitting diodes, liquid crystal elements, or electro-chromic material.
