A frame for a colour transparency has fasteners above and below the opening to hold the transparency in place. The fasteners consist of hooks which fit into the film perforations. The hooks on one side are offset by half a film perforation interval from those on the other side to give two possibilities of fitting the transparency to the flexible frame. The central opening is strengthened by a thickened rim, at least near the fastening hooks. A transparency is mounted by bending the frame until the hooks enter the perforations. The transparency is held taut when the frame straightens. The mounting operation may be assisted by a block with a hollow on one side.
