Continuous degassing of gas/liq. dispersions - by risers with funnels above extraction openings and terminating above froth surface

A continuous degassing rig for gas/liquid dispersions in reactors (fermenters) with an external circulation includes a funnel-shaped separating chamber, with the larger end downwards, above the bottom extraction opening of the reactor. A vertical riser is joined to the top of the chamber and terminates near the froth surface of the reactor contents. A horizontal baffle is arranged between the extraction opening and the mouth of the separating chamber. Intensified mass exchange and thorough degassing of recycled gas/liquid dispersion are possible.
