Method of stamping metal bottle caps - uses step driven metal strip and stamping directly on seals

The machine frame contains a double ended electric motor with one end operating the metal forming punches located in the head. The other end of the motor drives a rotary table through a gearbox. This table has four stations spaced at 90 deg. intervals on its surface. Two adjacent stations are equipped with loading devices for the seals. As each loaded station indexes beneath the punch unit he punches pick up the seal by vacuum methods, carrying it forward as the cap is formed in the metal foil. An alternative is to heat fuse the seal to the metal foil.
