Containers or compartments are made from flexible plastic coated fabric, where the fabric is coate on both faces and 2 layers of coated fabric are laminated together. The joints are made by parting the 2 layers of one edge and enclosing the laminated layers of the adjacent edge between the parted layers of the first edge. The resulting tongue and fork joint is then laminated together, pref. by calendering. Used in mfr. of flexible tanks or reservoirs, inflatable boats or buildings, etc. Method provides a secure seal with a relatively long path length for any fluid tyring to penerate between or through the laminated layers.
