An image-forming material comprises a conductive substrate, an active org. transport layer (I) capable of supporting the injection of photo-excited holes, covering a layer (II) capable of producing photo-excited holes, the improvement being that layer (II) comprises a compsn. of 5-25, pref. 10-20, esp. 15 atom. wt.% tellurium and 75-95, 80-90, esp. 85 atom. wt.% selenium, and is 0.05-0.5 mu thick.
