Weaving loom heald control mechanism - with cam operated bell crank levers composed of a pair of spaced plates formed by bending drawing and compressing

Each crank lever is provided with a large pivotal opening for pivoting about an eccentric pin (14) and two smaller openings pressed out equidistantly w.r.t. the large opening for reception of pin on which are journalled cam engaging wheels (8,9). End of lever remote from one wheel is provided with a further pressed out opening for reception of a pin (4) supporting pivotally a link. The pin (14) is carried by a yoke serving for joint pivoting of all levers between a position in which the rollers (8,9) contact the cams and a position in which the rollers are out of contact with the cams. Healds are moved sufficiently to permit unobstructed passage of weft shuttles and at a speed which warrants low wear. Healds are rigid, whilst thin and of low intertia. Construction of heald assembly is compact and noise suppressed.
