The triple casement bolt is particularly for mounting in a door leaf, having central, top and bottom bolts coupled to a common central locking mechanism. It is of the passive type, each bolt being formed by a ramp faces tongue which is spring-loaded outwards. The springs are independent of the common locking mechanism and the interconnecting linkage, which is only used to withdraw the tongues. The central lock may have a tongue coupled to an actuating mechanism acting simultaneously on the other two, which are thinner and situated near the leading edge of the door leaf.
