1490100 Shoots P HUNGERBACH 23 Dec 1974 [5 Nov 1974] 55620/74 Heading B8S A helical shoot 1, which in use is mounted in a bulk storage bunker (5), Fig. 1 (not shown), comprises curved segments 3 which are connected together and to vertical supports 2 (only one of which is shown) by means of mating joints (not shown), the supports 2 and segments 3 being pre-fabricated from reinforced concrete, each segment 3 having an angled profile with a vertical boundary flange 6 and a floor flange 7, the floor flange 7 of the segment 3 at the entry port of the shoot 1 being horizontal while the flanges 7 of the remaining segments 3 are inclined. In order to increase the conveying capacity of the shoot 1 reinforced concrete extension flanges 8 and 18 are respectively attached to the flanges 6, 7 of the segments 3, such attachment being made either by welding lugs (9), Fig. 3 (not shown), or else by means of locating pegs (11) which are located in corresponding holes (12), or alternatively by means of threaded bolts (14) engaging nuts (15), Fig. 4 (not shown).
