A process for the manufacture of compressed shaped products having a final crushing strength of between about 135 and about 165 kg/cm2, from a mixture of calcium sulphate dihydrate, cement and sand according to a described relationship between pressure exerted on the mixture and the crushing pressure of the compressed shaped products which are highly water-resistent and do not show a tendency toward efflorescence.
