A metering valve for an analysing apparatus through which the sample material to be analysed flows into the analyser device constructed such that a controlled operated valve shaft allows input or injection of a small sample quantity into the analyser through a nozzle, has the opening and closing of the sample inlet aperture controlled by an elastic membrane attached to the floor of the valve jet, tensioned around its circumference and operated by the valve stem. A return spring on the valve stem is used for aperture closing.
