The ski brake has a bow rotatable against spring tension around an axis transverse to the ski. That part of the bow on one side of the turning axis formed as an operating lever and that part on the other side of the axis forming the brake arm. The brake arm consists of two legs connected to each other in the form of a hairpin spring. At least one leg (51, 52) of the brake arm (5) is both turnable around its ski transverse axis (6, 7) as well as being adjustable along the length of the ski.
