The badminton racquet is fitted with a permanent magnet at the bottom of it s handle with the object of easing the task of lifting shuttlecocks fallen to the floor. The shuttlecock is equipped with three small round metal plates let into it s plastic covering. The permanent magnet fitted to the racquet handle has a diameter of 28 mm and a height of 10 mm and the three metal plates have a diameter of 10 mm each. The other measurements of both racquet and shuttlecock are normal.
