The thin shell (9) of the vacuum cleaner (12) consists of the enclosure reinforcement (1) with the large-area openings (4) in the upper part and the small openings (6) in the lower part which are penetrated by plastic foam (13). A foam housing (2) which is hollow on the inside is thus produced so that a hollow space (8) is formed on all sides between the foam housing and the motor fan unit (3). In order to avoid contact due to a sharp object penetrating, a motor fan shield (5) and an isolator (14a) made of plastic are provided on the motor fan unit, which together guarantee the electrical safety. The free places (10) on the motor fan shield (5) are shielded directly by the enclosure reinforcement (1) which has no openings at these points. IMAGE
