The wheel rim for the container or trolley is made from two half shells (2, 2') which are clipped together by interlocking ratchets, to contain the solid tyre (6). The ratchet teeth (12) are on one half shell, with slots in the corresponding positions on the other wheel rim. The ratchet teeth form sectors about the wheel rim while the slots follow the sector contour. The ratchet action is a simple axial movement and results in an unstrained fitting, with both half shells made from plastic mouldings.
