Filing folder with a suspension rail consisting of plastic material which encloses the spine of a pocket made from cardboard with two parallel legs and projects with both its ends on the side of the pocket forming suspension supports. The front leg of the suspension rail forms a narrow pocket between itself and the main folder to be used as an indicator ledge. The rear leg (7) of the suspension rail is made longer than the front one (6) and a plastic strip (15) is inserted into the pocket folder projecting beyond that part of the rear leg which extends beyond the front leg. The plastic strip is welded to the rear leg of the suspension rail within the area of the recesses.
