Composite wall element for armoured safes - has concrete filling between steel plates and hollow profiles and reinforcement

The wall element for armoured safes, has outside and inside walls of steel plate. The cavity between these walls is filled with hard concrete. The concrete embeds reinforcing elements welded to outside wall. Resistance against breaking is improved while the walls have uniform thickness. The wall elements are simple and economical to make. Additional steel plate (8) is fitted into gap, parallel to outside wall. This plate carries parallel, channels (9) of trapezoidal cross section, welded by their free edges to the fitted plate. The reinforcement consists of headed studs welded on the outside wall. The heads of studs are welded to twisted steel strips (7).
