The drive for a HV circuit breaker has an operating rod, connected to the movable contact, which is coupled to an insulating driving rod. The base (9) of the coupling element (3) between the fork prongs (4, 5) has a recess (8) for the free end (7) of the projection (6), which is held in the coupling element (3) by a pin (11) inserted into a hole (10) in the prongs (4, 5) and in the projection (6).
