Yarn dyeing bobbin comprises three rings of progressively decreasing dia. and associated with peripherally spaced wires to form a cage. End rings are located externally and internally of the cage respectively and the intermediate ring is located within th ecage intermediate the length of a conical portion of the cage. End ring is associated with an intermediate support formed by a pair of spaced rings joined by an axial member. The dia. of ring is greater than the outer dia. of the cage and the mean dia. of the ring is at least locally larger than the mean dia. of the ring. Yarns with differential rate of shrinkage are thus dyed uniformly.
