The flash bulb control mechanism can be used manually. It has a support, holding a number of percussion type flash bulbs arranged in line on it. A number of percussion firing elements are also arranged on the supports so as to successively fire the bulbs. The mechanism has a longitudinal slide arranged on the support parallel to the flashbulbs. A notched bar is arranged in the slide and is controlled manually. A sliding element is arranged in the slide so as to press against the notched bar. A device on the sliding element successively releases the strikers of each flash bulb in response to successive pressure on the notched bar which displaces the sliding element along the slide.
