Cyclone type separator inlet for particulate matter and gas to be separated. /P P It comprises an outer annular converging channel 18 delimited between the casing 10 of the separator and a conical means 14, and an inner annular channel 24 converging delimited between the wall of this same means and a body 20 of shape conical arranged concentrically in the hollow hub 14. The upstream face 26 of the latter has openings arranged in a circle and on which can be aligned openings 32 made in a register 30 in order to allow adjustment of the flow rate of the gases circulating in interior channel 24.
