A process for treating an alkaline uranium-containing liquor. This liquor is brought into contact with a cationic ion exchange resin, previously put in ammonium form, and the uranium is separated from the solution obtained, in which the salts and complexes previously of sodium have been essentially transformed into ammonium salts and complexes.
