The system is mainly intended for adaptation to modern kitchen cabinets (1). It is designed to permit the upper storage units (3), which are usually difficult of access, to be pulled down over the closed lower units (2) by a simple pulley system (4, 6) or, alternatively, by a small electrically operated motor, to a height more easily accessible to the housewife. The system is especially useful for the storage of items which are not usually in constant use, such as electric kitchen equipment of all kind, mixmasters, liquidisers, steam irons, etc.
