1503191 Weighing apparatus W & T AVERY Ltd 9 Jan 1976 [29 Jan 1975] 3852/75 Heading GIN In a weighing machine wherein a digital weight signal is produced in successive sampling periods, a print-out of the weight is automatically made when the weight signal is unchanged for two consecutive sampling periods. As shown, the digital weight signal obtained from an A-D converter 11 during a sampling period is fed to a comparator 12 together with the weight signal of the previous sampling period retained in a store 10. The unit 12 determines the difference between these two weight signals and feeds this value to detector circuits 14, 16. Simultaneously the store 10 is updated. Detector circuit 14 senses when at least two consecutive outputs from unit 12 are below a predetermined value e.g. zero. When this condition is satisfied the wieght signal is assumed to be correct and a signal is fed to circuitry 26 to produce a print-out of the weight, unit price and total price of the test body, the information being obtained from random access memory 24. Detector circuit 16 senses when the difference signal from unit 12 is less than a predetermined value and prevents a further print out until there is a significant change in weight.
