1506840 Navigational calculators LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-GmbH 23 Aug 1968 [12 Sept 1967] 40541/68 Heading G4G [Also in Division B7] In an acoustic, proportional navigation, self-guidance system for a torpedo, to prevent, the torpedo aiming directly at the noise source (i.e. the propeller wake) the point of impact with the target ship is advanced from the stern by injecting a disturbance parameter into the torpedo control circuit at a predetermined range from the target. The target distance from the torpedo is measured by observing the change in noise level which occurs during a given track length, and when the predetermined range is reached the disturbance parameter is fed into the control circuit.
