PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a screen at an editing start point and end point and editing performance, by controlling the recording current of a video head, erasing timing of an erasing head and ON-OFF timing of a video switching system. CONSTITUTION:Either memory 1 for inserting editing or memory 2 for assembling editing operates in each mode. Then, the video erasing head erasing independently video signals, memory 9 for determining the erasing timing, memory 12 for the video recording current, and video memory 3 are cascaded and head-switching pulses are used as clock pulses for turning ON or OFF memories 9, 12 and 3 in sequence. More perfect electronic editing can therefore be attained through the timing control like this.
