PURPOSE:To cook and vend cold noodle, which can be sufficiently satisfied in taste, by scalding noodle, which has been once boiled but is stored under frozen condition, to sufficiently loosen the noodle and by supplying cold water from a cold water bath to the noodle so that the noodle may be finished at a suitably cold condition. CONSTITUTION:One sample container 11 under a frozen condition is fed out of a sample rack 9 onto a cooking table 13 in response to the vending command. Then, hot water is supplied from its bath 16 into the container 11 so that the boiled noodle 10 stored under a frozen condition is sufficiently scalded and loosened. Then, the cooking table 13 is turned by a motor 15 to remove the scalding water. After this step, cold water is fed from its bath 17 to the container so that the noodle may be cooled to a proper temperature. Then, soup is fed to the container from its bath 18. In the case of cold nooale, cold water is suitably added to the soup. Finally, the container 11 on the cooking table 13 is fed out to a vend stage 23 toward an exit 4 by means of a delivery mechanism 24.
