PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a nozzle on the top of a double-shell tank for low-temperature liquid, by keeping the distance between the inner and outer shells of the tank at its nozzle part constant despite the expansion or contraction of the inner shell due to the presence or absence of the low-temperature liquid. CONSTITUTION:Guide plates 41, which have parallel vertical planes facing each other across a gap, are attached to each end of the tank consisting of the outer shell 1 and the inner shell 2 and are reinforced by brackets 61. A center plate 31 is loosely fitted together with an heat insulator 111 between the guide plates in parallel therewith so that the center plate 31 can slide vertically. Thereby, a lateral motion restricting mechanism is formed. Guide plates 42 and brakets 62, 63 are attached to the inner shell, thereby forming a longitudinal motion restricting mechanism. A suspension mechanism is composed of wire ropes 7, brackes 64, 65 and pulleys. As a result, the purpose is attained.
