The alternating voltage generator forms a variable frequency, which is used to regulate the speed of an asynchronous motor (7). It consists of a dc source, a rectifier connected to the alternating mains, a bridge circuit of control rectifiers with a control circuit. There is a source of a scanning alternating voltage with a frequency equal to a multiple of a reference alternating voltage. The amplitude differs from that of the reference alternating voltage. These voltages are fed to a comparator circuit (16) which produces an output signal when the scanning voltage is greater or less than the reference voltage.
