Textiles, including yarns, fabrics, floor coverings, etc. are treated in full width or rope form, with fluids or pastes, by passing them, by means of a positive feeder, in an enclosed housing, through a dispensing arrangement for the fluid or paste, esp. a dispersion or a soln. of a dyestuff or of a cleansing agent, and over at least two slinger cylinders free to rotate, and positioned some distance apart, so as to divert the path followed by the goods. In the surface zones of the cylinders, the fluids applied come under the influence of the press. of the cylinders themselves and the centrifugal forces set up, so as to be uniformly distributed throughout the section of the rope or sheet, whilst the surplus is ejected. Installation uses a much smaller amt. of fluid, and the goods are not predried.
