The metal frame is designed in two parts which are connected by a number of plastic connectors (7) of a certain length. With windows of larger sizes the length and/or the number of these connecting elements increases, resulting in an increase of the contact surface area between the two frames on one side and the plastic connectors on the other side. As it has to be accepted that even the plastic connectors conduct heat to some extent, to reduce the overall contact surface area, these surfaces have interruptions in for form of notches (8) where no direct contact between frame and plastic connector exists.
