Abstract of the DisclosureA process for coating inorganic substrates,especially metallic or metalloid substrates; sintered metalcarbides and carbon materials with carbides, nitrides and/orcarbonitrides; using certain nitriles as sources of carbon andnitrogen, is described. High deposition rates andsmooth coatings of good to very good adhesion are achievableby this process.
