ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:This invention is concerned with a feeding systemfor manufacturing machines of the type consuming paper suppliedin a continuous strip. According to the invention, this systemcomprises means for guiding and feeding the strip of paper, inwhich means there is a storage unit to hold the paper beingsupplied, joining means for carrying and sticking the end of astrip from a new reel onto the strip from an expended reelwhen it becomes exhausted; shearing means operating in conjunc-tion with the joining means for removing the unwanted paper fromthe expended reel when the join is made. All these means arearranged in cooperative relationship with a revolving reelholder which carries both the expended reel and the new one tobe joined on. The joining and shearing means operate when theexpended reel becomes exhausted, whilst the paper storage unitoperates 50 as to ensure continuity in the supply when thejoining and shearing means are working, while the reel holderrotates and interchanges the position of the new reel with thatof the expended one.
